Bluebird Heavy Gel Gloss is a thick, clear-drying acrylic medium which:
- Is thicker in consistency than Bluebird Acrylic Colours.
- Blends with colours to increase body.
- Is good for holding peaks.
- Dries translucent.
It can be used to create glazes and extend paints. Gels can be thought of as colorless paint, as they are composed of 100% acrylic polymers similar to acrylic paint.
What is it used for?
- Increases viscosity to create an oil paint-like consistency that holds knife and brush marks
- Increases surface gloss, color depth and transparency
- Extends your color further without affecting acrylic stability
- Slows drying time
- Maintains paint adhesion, durability and archival quality
How to use it?
- Do not vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry
- Do not use with any non-acrylic compatible media
